Sunsets are just one way the MoGN App can change the news cycle

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

I have always been fascinated by sunsets. The way in which colors blend in the sky as the day comes to a close always reminds me how beautiful life can be. The Mobile Generated News team is based in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA where the sunsets are usually great, but we have been working on ways to make that sunset even better.

A Citizen Journalist could take a picture of a sunset or a video of the waves crashing during a sunset and upload it to the database and that picture could be on a local weather newscast in minutes. We all have our favorite weatherman and now, thanks to the MoGN App, a user can feel like he is in the newsroom with him, minutes before he goes on air.

If there is a train going by while you are watching the sunset, you could take a video of the train and your local news team could use your video in a newscast on transportation or fuel prices.

If you are watching the sunset at your favorite beach side restaurant, take a video of your server bringing you your food and perhaps your local news team will be doing a story about waiting tables or proper restaurant etiquette, and your video could be on-air just like that.

At Mobile Generated News®, we want news consumers to be able to interact with local media for free. We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy. Most often, viewers do not get to control what they see on the news. Now, the MoGN App enables news enthusiasts to have a say in the content they see on their televisions, web sites and newspapers. We are trying to enhance the human experience when it comes to news. Download the Mobile Generated News App and become a Citizen Journalist! If you are out and about and see news, weather or sports happening, send in your Breaking News. If you have a story or opinion that’s worth sharing, record it and send it in as well!
