A MOGN experience at the Great Barrier Reef

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

I recently returned from a half-week trip to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The Great Barrier Reef is certainly a place that you need to see, and you better do it fast.

Scientists predict that within the next decade, there will be a significant loss of species found at the Great Barrier Reef due to both natural and human impact on the Reef.

I was absolutely blown away by the amount of diversity in the types of fish and coral that I saw. It almost felt as if I was in a museum and was looking at a piece of art.

As I was coming up to the surface at the culmination of my scuba dive, I thought how fascinating it would be for others to see and share my experience. With the Mobile Generated News App, I could post videos that I took underwater and within minutes, my local news station could run a story on the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef. While the subject of the story could be depressing, the footage would be superb.

We want to know other ways that you could imagine using the App! If you have any great ideas, let us know.

At Mobile Generated News®, we want news consumers to be able to interact with local media for free. We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy. We are trying to enhance the human experience when it comes to news. Download the Mobile Generated News App and become a Citizen Journalist! If you are out and about and see news, weather or sports happening, send in your Breaking News. If you have a story or opinion that’s worth sharing, record it and send it in as well!
