Now There is a Drone for Your Wrist

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

In my prior blog I told you that the motion picture industry has been given the go ahead to use Drones to help get spectacular shots for movies.

Today, I just learned about a flyable wearable camera!

I 'm not making this up!

A group of San Francisco developers has created a wristband drone. It is only a prototype but have a look at the video above!  (You'll need to see this video on a computer or mobile device with Flash)

The company, called Nixie, has produced the ultimate selfie enabler. It is a wearable drone that makes it possible for people to take video pictures of themselves doing extraordinary things or anything else for that matter. The inventor, Christoph Kohstall said, “Let’s just build a flying wristband that can do aerial photography, too,”

Apparently, with a gesture, the quadcopter unfolds and takes off from your wrist. Like a boomerang, it finds you, turns around, takes video of you and then you can catch it and put it back in your wristband. Nixie will be one of the entrants in the “Make It Wearable Challenge” that will be in in San Francisco on November 3, 2014.

You want one? You’ll have to wait to see how they do in the challenge and get past the prototype stage.
