When the verdict was handed down on October 4, 1995, I couldn't imagine that we would still be talking about
The People v. Orenthal James Simpson more than 20 years later. I certainly never would have guessed there would be
a hugely popular television series on the trial.
The trial raised many issues: racism, celebrity, domestic violence,
media coverage of criminal cases. As a result, it generated some very
important and necessary discussions. As lead prosecutor on the case, I
have followed those discussions very closely.
Here are the five things I'd like to say about those issues.
