Sponsors Distance Themselves From Maria Sharapova After Failed Drug Test  Forbes  March 8, 2016
A few hours after admitting she’d failed a drugs test, two of Maria Sharapova’s sponsors responded swiftly by putting distance between themselves and the world’s most marketable female athlete.

Nike, with whom Sharapova signed an eight-year, $70 million deal in 2010, said it had suspended its endorsement of the Russian while Swiss watch brand Tag Heuer said it wouldn’t renew its contract.
 Relationships that had been cemented for years took only a few hours to unravel after Sharapova’s shock admission Monday (....)
