Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!
I’m sure that you have read story after story about Internet Scams, however, people continue to make the same mistake over and over by responding
to solicitations in their email boxes that lead them unwittingly to a Virus,
make them vulnerable to Identity Theft or allow outsiders to gain access to
their databases. It’s enough to make you
and your computer sick!
Journalists are skeptical by nature. People who are not Journalists need to learn from us. Don’t click on anything that could compromise you, your data or your computer. As the hackers get more sophisticated, cybercrime is on the rise according to a report just released by McAfee Labs. One of the latest scams is what I call, "Eblackmail." McAfee calls it “Ransomware.” You are doing research for a project on website that you are not familiar with, you try to move on and a legitimate looking screen appears that tells you that your computer has been compromised and unless you click this link, you will need to pay a penalty or fine. Just use common sense and navigate away. This actually happened to me and annoying as it was, I realized it was a scam. Be skeptical!
This is also happening to people using their Smartphones or Tablets, however, you don’t have to worry about any of this when downloading the Mobile Generated News® App! Download it today and send us a video if you have been a victim of Cybercrime. We’ll verify your story and publish it so others will know about this crime and make sure that they don’t become victims.
I look forward to hearing your comments and seeing your video reports.
This is a good time to introduce Brooke Plantz, Affiliate Relations, at Mobile Generated News®. Brooke has been in Sales for 10 years. She will be a regular contributor along with Jana Rowland and myself, to the Mobile Generated News® Blog.
