Watch..Out?

Greetings from Mobile Generated News®  MoGN!

Have you heard about Samsung’s Galaxy GearSmartwatch?  If you have a Galaxy Note 3 you can buy one.  But is this really the next generation must have gadget?
It’s retails for $299 and was just released to the US market.  It is basically like having an extension of your smartphone on your wrist.  For now, it only works with the one Smartphone model.  There have also been rumors that Apple is working on a similar device called the iWatch and Sony has one. (pictured above)

My question is:  Who needs it?  Have we become so lazy that we can’t pick up a Smartphone and put it to our ear?  Bluetooth works just fine to have phone conversations.

This device boasts access to Apps, a virtual assistant (Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Siri) , it has two cameras ─ one in the band and one that faces away from the user ─ that can record short videos, a Pedometer, text messaging viewer, etc., etc., etc.

As much as a I like Gadgets, do we really need something so that we can make phone call, check our text messages or our Apps by talking to our wrists???
