Bicycles are now smart thanks to the Copenhagen Wheel

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

The invention of the wheel brings us back to Mesopotamia over 5,500 years ago. Back then, the wheel was used to move heavy objects. Today, innovators at Superpedestrian, Inc. are putting their own spin on the wheel.

The Copenhagen Wheel is the first hybrid wheel for bicycles. A cyclist simply pops the back wheel into place and is able to traverse hills and effortlessly pedal faster, farther, and easier. The wheel will enable commutes to work to be care and sweat-free.

The Copenhagen Wheel was initially developed as a research project at MIT. Since then, the wheel has been talked about in many media publications and was even featured as a plot-driving (or should I say plot-cycling) aspect of Showtime’s popular television series, Weeds.

There will also be an app that will come out with the wheel that enables users to track their commutes and adjust settings to make the wheel work harder or easier.

It is companies like this one that inspire us to try to make it easier for our users to accomplish their goals. At Mobile Generated News®, we want news viewers to be able to interact with local media. We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy. Most often, viewers do not get to control what they see on the news. Now, the MoGN App enables news enthusiasts to have a say in the content they see on their televisions, web sites and newspapers. We are trying to enhance the human experience when it comes to news. Download the Mobile Generated News App and become a Citizen Journalist! If you are out and about and see news happening, send in your Breaking News. If you have a story or opinion that’s worth sharing, record it and send it in as well!
