Citizen Journalists: The Time Has Come: Part 3

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

Last weekend a terrible tragedy happened during a performance of the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.  Eleven performers were injured and there are two in critical condition.

The video of the accident was shot by a people in the crowd, who shortly thereafter became a Citizen Journalists, by submitting their cell phone video from their mobile devices to News organizations such as the FOX News Channel.  The material was shot by Keith Brosnan and Aletha Wood among others.

As I have mentioned in prior posts, more and more of the News we will see on television, web sites and mobile devices will be provided by people like you and me who just happen to be at a place where news is happening.

The future is here, now!

At Mobile Generated News®, we want news consumers to be able to interact with local and national media for free. We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy.  When newsworthy material is submitted to us, we vet it for authenticity and then upload it to our newsfeed.
