Faster Internet Speeds Coming to Los Angeles and Other Big Cities?

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

There is talk about bringing faster Internet speeds to Los Angeles and other large cities, again.

It's obvious with more consumers using their Computers, Tablets and Smartphones for watching online video and using their Smart Phones as replacements for their “point and shoot” digital cameras they used to use, the demand for faster Internet speeds is growing by the day.

Also as more businesses require their computing to be more rapid to stay competitive, the need for speed increases.

Google has been testing and offering their Fiber Internet service in Kansas City Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas over the past two years. Upload and download speeds are closing in on 1 gigabit a second. That’s about 40 times faster that most of us get in Los Angeles. The City of Los Angeles, will start seeking bids later this year to make gigabit speeds accessible to all residents and businesses.

If the technology moves forward it will be considerably faster to send in your video and still images to MoGN! At Mobile Generated News, we want news consumers to be able to interact with local media for free and fast.

We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy. Most often, viewers do not get to control what they see on the news. Now, the MoGN App enables news enthusiasts to have a say in the content they see on their televisions, web sites and newspapers. We are trying to enhance the human experience when it comes to news.

Download the Mobile Generated News App and become a Citizen Journalist! If you are out and about and see news, weather or sports happening, send in your Breaking News. If you have a story or opinion that’s worth sharing, record it and send it in as well!
