The Evolution of Journalism

Greetings from Mobile Generated News®  MoGN!
Ever wonder what's goes on in Journalism classes at a major University?  In my class at the University of Southern California we talk a great deal about storytelling and how the stories will be distributed.  People are getting their news everywhere - from Newspapers, Cable TV Networks, local television stations, radio, websites, blogs, email service providers, Social Networks, etc

Enter the next generation of consumers wanting to get their news instantly, mainly from their computers, smartphones and tablets.  This paradigm shift from "traditional media" to Internet based news is what we are discussing in almost every class session.  There is a great deal of concern amongst my students about where they will fit in because of the changing business models for traditional media and their intense desire to know what is going on locally, nationally and worldwide - immediately, on-demand.  It is up to all educators to insure that Generation Next is well informed and this is one of the major reasons that Mobile Generated News® (MoGN) was created.
I look forward to your comments.
