Critics are quick to take a bite out of Apple Stock

Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!

Apple, a leader in innovative and “cool” products, has a stock that is anything but “cool.” Apple’s shares have dropped nearly 9 percent ($48.30) over the past few days and those numbers have experts worried.
To the untrained eye, Apple had an impressive quarter. Apple sold a record 51 million iPhones during the quarter and had a net income of $13 billion. While those numbers are certainly impressive, Wall Street predicted those numbers would be greater.
People are worried that Apple is losing its share in the smartphone world to other companies like Samsung that boast smartphones with bigger screens. The iPhone 6 is rumored to have a screen that is comparable in size to those of competing companies. Critics also say that Apple CEO Tim Cook is nowhere near as innovative and forward thinking as Former CEO Steve Jobs was.
Not every one is troubled by the low numbers. Activist Investor Carl Ichahn announced that he bought another $500 million in Apple Stock, bringing his total holdings in the stock to roughly $4 billion.
I have been an Apple enthusiast since the beginning and not just because I purchased shares years ago. Apple users love their Apple products. That means that people that are willing to spend more money on a product for its look, usefulness, and “cool factor” will continue buying into the world of Apple. I do not see that changing anytime soon.
