Greetings from Mobile Generated News® MoGN!
Streak, a San Francisco-based start up, is offering a new service that will allow Gmail users to see when their e-mails have been read by the recipient.
The service is a Google Chrome extension and will also allow businesses to track the reach of marketing and sales e-mails. If that’s not enough, the sender will be able to see where an e-mail was opened, which could help generate statistics for demographic purposes.
Recipients of e-mails will not need to have Streak for senders to track their e-mails.
Perhaps the best news about Streak is that the Beta version is free and the company plans on keeping its service that way in the long run. Companies sometimes will offer a free service with a plan to charge once the service gains traction. I hope that is not the case for Streak. Streak could change the e-mail/virtual communication world for the better.
At Mobile Generated News®, we feel that a free service could change the way news viewers interact with local media. We believe that contributing to the news cycle is essential to our democracy. Most often, viewers do not get to control what they see on the news. Now, the MoGN App enables news enthusiasts to have a say in the content they see on their televisions, web sites and newspapers. We are trying to enhance the human experience when it comes to news. Download the Mobile Generated News App and become a Citizen Journalist! If you are out and about and see news happening, send in your Breaking News. If you have a story or opinion that’s worth sharing, record it and send it in as well!
