Smartphones take majority share of mobile phone market

According to recent data on the mobile phone industry, over half of the 435 million phones sold around the world in the second quarter of 2013 were smart phones.

It seems as if nearly everyone in line at the local coffee shop or even at some dinner tables, is using a smartphone.
